Katsura

Ask a question about this product

"Katsura", Imperial Villa in the Southeast of Kyoto (Japan), was the inspiration for the creation of this Omexco collection of printed textile warps. The stroll garden of Katsura Villa, composed around a large pond and representing scenes of sea,
mountains, streams, fields, rice paddies etc... contain several original bamboo fences and hedges. The most representative hedges are the "Katsura-gaki" (Katsura hedge) and the "Ho-gaki", the former consisting of growing bamboo, bent upside down and braided, the latter of dried bamboo stems, placed vertically, and dried bamboo heads closely packed diagonally and horizontally.
Bamboo is the central theme of the collection "Katsura", either figurative, or stylized. Sober
geometric designs complete the range. The colour range comprises natural bamboo green and brown, azalea pink, stone grey, warm terra cotta, sunny yellow, and even the silvery white colour of the moon above the pond at Katsura, against the dark sky.
The wallcovering of Katsura is 90 cm wide (printed rayon warps on non-woven backing) and
delivered cut length (no minimum order). Thanks to the non-woven backing, the product is stable and easy to hang (ready-made white PVA or EVA glue on the wall - no need to humidify the back of the product).
