Like a diva who is about to come on stage, the new wallcovering collection of Omexco is adorned with radiant colours, with rich and sophisticated textures. The range consists of 3 different wallcoverings, which complete each other and can perfectly be combined :
- rayon warps (90 cm), printed with ethnic-oriental designs (batik, floral patterns) or geometrical patterns (diamonds, stripes)
- 100% linen warps (91 cm) in a wonderful range of plains, sometimes mat, sometimes with light metallic flashes of copper or bronze.
- mica wallcoverings (92 cm): Mica or ?vermiculite? is a mineral formed out of chemical reaction between quartz and granite. Exposed to extreme heat, the mineral expands into worm-like pieces of 2000 or even 3000% of their original size, in a spectrum of brilliant colours. The characteristics of this mineral have been known in Japan for 6 centuries. Other names for mica are ?strange stone?, ?breathing stone?, ?miracle stone?. After the mica has been heat-expanded, it is crushed into small pieces and stuck on a non-woven backing. Finally, the surface is coloured.
These 3 wallcoverings are developed in a range of subtle and delicate colours, varying from turquoise or caramel-chocolate shades enhanced with touches of gold to Pompe? or ruby red, or artichoke green, or cupper yellow, or pearly white and grey... All the wallcoverings are on a non-woven backing and, thanks to this, easy to install (glue on the wall ? no need to humidify the backing). All of them are ecological, have a good light resistance, and a UK class 0 and US class A fire rating. They are being supplied cut length (no minimum order).
